I love you my village…

O! river
My dear river
You are my childhood mate
I spend hrs & hrs
On your sandy slopes
Looking at you
Hearing the music of silence…

Those trees of
Mango, Neem, Mahua
Plum, Wood apple and Black Plum
Still standing and waiting
With flowers & fruits
Since the time I left them
For my own selfishness…

The mother earth produces
Grains, pulses, vegetables & sugar canes
Waits for me
To come and enjoy
The gifts of the nature…..

The tracks and the streets
Are waiting to greet me
With soft clay
Where I played & played
Rode the cycle and fell
Umpteenth times…

Those fields of
Wheat, gramm, pea & mustered plants
Painted in the green and yellow
Waving their arms
For me to come back
Share their happiness, grief & sorrow
Share their experience
Of droughts & floods
To be with them
In summer and winter
All of them waiting
For me since I left them
Came to city
To earn my bread & butter…

I still remember you
My village
With all fondness and love
You are unforgettable
I miss you every day
Because you are the one
Who created me
Who molded me
In to what I  am today
I love you my village…
I love you too much …!
                      ‘naman’

Daughter of India…

Light…..
Yes, we must light
Hundreds & hundreds of  candles
For the female paramedical student
Who was attacked and raped
In a running Delhi bus
And died in a Singapore hospital
We are ashamed
but we pray  for you
Light…..
Yes, we must light
Hundreds & hundreds of  candles
O! Daughter of Delhi
Daughter of India…

But I beg all my countrymen
To light at-least one candle
For mercilessly killed
Pregnant woman journalist
Friend  of a very Sr Politician

Pl light a single candle
For young Hindi poetess
Used & physically exploited
By another political leader
Killed by hired goons
Of the same leader….

Pl light up
One small candle
For the beautiful married
Rajasthan nurse
Lured by power & money
Sexually exploited and then killed
By the politician to shut her up….

It’s my personal request to you all
Pl light one candle
To salute the brave lady
Who was paraded naked
In her own village of Rajasthan…

Pl light just one candle
For all those young girls & women
Of Kashmir and Punjab
Raped, exploited and killed
By the extremists
When terrorism was at its peak
In the said states…

O! my friends and countrymen
I pray you
To light one candle
For the women police officers
Molested on the roads of
Bhuwneshwar & Mumbai
By the same demonstrators
For who’s security
They were deployed…

If you have
Few candles left
Pl light up one candle
For the sexually exploited and harassed
Woman executive of an aviation co.
Suicide was the option
She opted for…

Light at least one candle
For those girls and women
Who are regularly
Molested, exploited and raped
By the security personals
In the homes and in the police stations…

Pl.. pl..  pl..
Light one more candle
For the girl
Forcefully striped of her clothes
In the presence of police
On the Roads of Guwahati…

I know
Our country
Has not enough candles to light
For each girl and woman victim
Who are in millions
But pl  light this last candle
For all
Molested, tortured, exploited
Raped & Killed
Aadivasi, Dalit, Backward class women
Or
I request you all
Pl don’t light
These candles at all
Because in the light of it
All those faces will become public
Who are responsible for
Exploitation , torture, molestation
Rape & killings
Of our sisters and mothers….
                   ‘naman’

good bye....!

When he wanted love
You gave him money...
When he wanted care
You gave him luxury...
When he wanted to play with you
You send him
to a boarding school....

And now
When you want him
to stay with you
He boarded a plane
and said, good bye....!

The destiny

Roads are
right , left, here, there
everywhere......
Nobody knows
Which way to go?
How to grow?
Every one is confused
about
The destiny
The goal
The future
& his role..
The life
The death
& his quest..
Everyone is running
to beat the others
In a race
which does not exists.....
                                      'naman'

O cloud.... !

O cloud.... !
My dear cloud
Pl  sprinkle the rain
In my beloveds neighborhood
Give the message
I miss her very much….

O cloud! My dear cloud
Fragrance  of  wet earth
Singing of birds
Greenness  of  fields
will give her immense  joy…..

O cloud! My dear cloud
I depend upon you
That you will please my love
Wet her with your sprinklings
Fill her heart with
More and more love
So that when we meet
She can pour it all on me
She can give me back
All the love
For which I am waiting
Since the time infinite…

O! The Soul of literature

O! The Soul of literature
We miss you
Though you were never visible
But we felt you
In the air
In the atmosphere
In the hills, rivers, trees
every where.....
We heard you
Time and again
In the singing of birds
In the flute of herdsmen
In the sound of anklets...
But these days
You are missing
O! Poetry
The soul of literature
I beg you to return
I beg you to bless us
I beg you to be with us
Pl... Pl... Pl...
